We pride ourselves on the long-lasting relationships we have with our customers. Bruyère Continuing Care has been a client of ours since the late ’90s, and when they significantly expanded their facilities they trusted Miller McConnell Signs to produce and install the necessary signage for the new, state-of-the-art Besserer Place.
Goals and Objectives
1) Produce and install exterior wayfinding and parking signage; and
2) Produce and install interior signage throughout the retirement residence, including door signs, directional signs, room signs and directory boards.
Ottawa’s weather can be unrelenting, which can cause issues when installing exterior signage. That was the case with the Place Besserer exterior sign installations, which all had to be installed into cement footings during the final days of autumn.
It was a race against the clock to finish the installation of all the signs before the winter cold, snow, and ice arrived. Using cement conditioners to prevent freezing, and performing the installations on many sub-zero and snowy days, our team managed to beat Mother Nature and finish the job on time and on budget. Our client could not have been happier with the results and that everything was ready for the beautiful new retirement residence when its doors first opened.
This project is a highlight in the relationship between Bruyère Continuing Care and Miller McConnell Signs.
